AAST Heroes

Our thanks to all of the people who worked so hard during the recent disasters. Here are the ones we know about.

Sgt. Jeff Leighty, Oregon member of AAST coordinated the Oregon truck convoy to Mississippi, contacted donors and suppliers and went above and beyond the call in making this truck convoy possible.

Sgt. Bobby G. Reed, for his tireless efforts to assist Mississippi and Louisiana troopers with the hurricane relief effort.

Sgt. Michelle King, for her tireless efforts to assist troopers in Louisiana and for coordinating the purchase of relief supplies for Louisiana troopers.

Lt. Keith Barbier, collected and delivered clothing and toiletries for troopers in Louisiana.

AAST Oregon Lodge, with the help of Wayne York and Gerry Gregg, filled two semi-trailers with supplies (donated by local troopers and friends, and generators purchased by AAST).

Dave Hoffman, AAST Oregon retired member who accompanied the Oregon truck convoy to Mississippi.

Lt. Col. Teri Wold, Supply Officer, Oregon National Guard, helped with coordination of supplies for truck convoy from Oregon to Mississippi.

AAST State Directors, we thank all the directors who called offering assistance for troopers in Louisiana and Mississippi.

Coca Cola Company, for donating bottled water for troopers in Jackson, Mississippi.

Robin Baker, purchased and delivered supplies to Mississippi law enforcement officers.

Pam Garland, Oregon, donated funds for the purchase of gasoline for the Oregon truck convoy to Mississippi.

Jerry Smith, owner of Cycle Country Honda Suzuki in Oregon, donated a generator and $500 for troopers in the affected areas.
