Christian Ricks named Chairman of
Tommy Moore, President of AAST, has named Christian T. Ricks as Chairman of the AAST Scholarship Foundation Board of Directors. Ricks, 59, lives in Jefferson City, Missouri, and recently retired from the Missouri Highway Patrol after a distinguished 35 year career. He has been a member of AAST since 2002. The AAST Scholarship Foundation was established by the Board of Directors of the American Association of State Troopers, Inc., and incorporated in August 1990. It is designated a 501(c)3 charitable foundation, and was established to raise funds to provide scholarships for the dependents of AAST trooper members. Since it was established, the AAST Scholarship Foundation has awarded over $1.7 million to 2,271 students to support their educational endeavors. Chairman Ricks is joined on the Scholarship Foundation Board of Directors by board members Paula Fortunas of Tallahassee, Florida, Bob Yoakum of Covington, Tennessee, and J.D. Johnson of Marianna, Florida. |
