Florida resident wins AAST Scholarship Foundation grand prize

Clara Craver of Venice, Florida, received the shock of her life recently when Florida Highway Patrol Major and AAST member Tom Knight delivered a $6,380 check to her home. After receiving a sweepstakes entry form in the mail, Mrs. Craver returned her winning sweepstakes prize administration form which matched the preselected prize number.

The AAST Scholarship Foundation (a 501 (c) 3 organization) conducts sweepstakes periodically to raise funds to award college scholarships to AAST trooper members’ children. Those who enter the sweepstakes are not required to make a donation and doing so will not increase their chances of winning the grand prize. Since 1990, AAST has awarded over $1.7 million to children of AAST members to help them further their education. Tax deductible donations to the Scholarship Foundation can also be made on line by utilizing the Donate Now feature, or through the mail to the AAST National Lodge, 1949 Raymond Diehl Road, Tallahassee, FL 32308. Any donation is accepted and appreciated, and all scholarship foundation donors are recognized on the AAST website.
