AAST created the Spirit of the Trooper Award in 2009 to recognize individuals for their support of the goals and purposes of AAST and its mission to improve the lives of state troopers and their families.

A beautiful framed certificate is presented to Spirit recipients to applaud them for helping AAST in its endeavors to provide valuable benefits and services to America’s state troopers. Several of the awards presented in the inaugural year were retroactive; AAST feels strongly that all who have helped troopers in outstanding ways should be recognized.

AAST looks forward to future opportunities to honor those who display a true Spirit of the Trooper.
