A state police Trooper, Philp Sheehy, saved a woman from a fiery single-vehicle crash on Route 101 in Epping on Tuesday night, according to the New Hampshire State Police.

The crash happened around 6 p.m. near mile marker 118 when a 2017 Chevrolet Trax driven by a 41-year-old Bedford woman veered off the road and crashed into a tree line alongside the road, police said.

When Trooper Sheehy responded to the scene, the car was already engulfed in flames, the driver was alert but was unable to exit the vehicle.

Without hesitation, Sheehy shattered the front driver's window and extracted the driver.

Both the driver and Troope Sheehy were transported to Exeter Hospital for treatment of minor injuries and later released. Line
